Compliance Audits

Maintaining compliance can sometimes seem like an overwhelming task.  Understanding regulations, airworthiness directives, manufacturer recommendations, and inspection programs can sometimes be more than what operators may have the time or expertise to take on.  Keeping your aircraft in top compliance maximizes the safety and value of the investment you’ve made in your aircraft.

We can help settle that uneasy feeling by providing services that meets your specific needs.  Click on the topics below to find out more about the services we provide.

The core of your regulatory compliance is Airworthiness Directives (AD).  As an aircraft owner/operator, it is a regulatory requirement to be in compliance with applicable airworthiness directives.  Many small sized operators can find themselves not knowing that they are out of compliance for many reasons:

• Incomplete AD searches
• Lack of knowledge of where or how to find AD’s
• Not checking AD’s on a regular basis
• Deciding an AD is not applicable when it really is!

Our available solutions:

1. AD Compliance Review.  We can do a full audit of the airworthiness directives applicable to your aircraft, engine, propellers, and appliances.  We provide a thorough and easy to read report of your compliance with each airworthiness directive to include the method of compliance based on your current records.  If we find instances of non-compliance, we will provide advice on how to solve these issues.  We can also help you establish your own AD compliance system that is easy to use and maintain.

2. AD Notifications.  We can notify you of new AD’s which may be applicable to your aircraft type and help you set up a plan for compliance.

3. AD Advice.  Some AD’s can be difficult to understand at times: even for the seasoned pro.  We can support your operation by evaluating the AD for its applicability to your aircraft and then if there are actions to take, we can summarize them into simple actions along with an implementation plan.

Maintaining compliance with your inspection program is just as important as compliance with airworthiness directives.  The inspection program is the heart and soul of how well your aircraft is inspected and maintained as well as providing the maximum level of safety, reliability, and value.

Auditing your inspection program is very beneficial for the following reasons:

• Identifying opportunities to improve aircraft safety and reliability
• Ensuring your program is “current” as per regulatory authorities
• Ensuring your inspection program tracking is set up accurately
• If you’ve purchased a used aircraft: understanding your current status and inspection program requirements
• If you have incorporated STC’s and other alterations: ensuring you have incorporated applicable instructions for continued airworthiness and airworthiness limitations

Our available solutions:

1. Auditing your program.  We research the manufacturer’s data against your existing compliance reports and give you an assessment of your current status as well as any opportunities for improvement.

2. Auditing your tracking system.  We compare your tracking system against the current program and identify if the required inspections are being performed at the same intervals as your inspection program.

3. Pre-buy program audits.  Buying a new or used aircraft obligates the owner/operator to ensure that the inspection program being used is current and meeting your regulatory requirements.  A review of the current inspection status can help you identify issues that can be resolved prior to taking ownership.

4. Pre-sale audits.  Ensuring your aircraft is following its inspection program requirements prior to sale avoids unnecessary inspections/maintenance and delays in the sale.  This maximizes your aircraft’s value and helps make the transition smoother.

Complete and accurate records are the most critical aspects of being an aircraft owner/operator as it ensures you can prove your aircraft’s current airworthiness status and maximizes the value of your aircraft.  Incomplete records can have the following consequences:

• Require work to be re-performed to demonstrate that the applicable maintenance has been done properly
• Require re-inspection to ensure compliance with an Airworthiness Directive
• Reduce the value of your aircraft at time of sale as the new owner may need to perform maintenance to demonstrate the aircraft conforms to its maintenance program and type design

Our available solutions:
